Adrienne Hollingsworth, MA, is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with a lifelong passion for cultivating hope and resilience in children, adolescents, and families. Throughout her years working with youth, she has been honored to witness the transformative nature of relationships based on acceptance and unconditional positive regard. Adrienne’s attentive and enthusiastic child-centered approach to therapy involves creating a safe and nurturing environment that allows children to express themselves freely. As children experience acceptance and appreciation, they learn to accept and appreciate themselves. This serves as the foundation for self-love, self-respect, growth, and maturity.

Adrienne earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Brandeis University in Waltham, MA and her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Irvine, CA. She is a member of The Association for Play Therapy and has completed play therapy training through a variety of affiliated organizations. Her professional history includes living and working at a youth residential treatment facility, serving as a child advocate in the criminal justice system, managing tutoring programs for elementary school through college age youth with a specialization in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, volunteering in schools and at depression awareness, youth suicide prevention, and anti-bullying events, and providing clinical treatment for children ages 5-18 in a community mental health setting.

Areas of speciality include calming stress and anxiety, addressing behavioral challenges, teaching effective coping and social skills, assisting grieving children and families, and improving your child's ability to manage Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and associated strategies to enhance Executive Functioning, Learning, Memory, and Task Completion.

A New England native, Adrienne is an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Her ideal day would include yoga and reading on the beach, cooking for her family and friends, and chocolate peanut butter ice cream.
